Course Introduction

The Root Cause Analysis (RCA) – Tools and Techniques course is designed to develop essential knowledge and practical skills required to identify, investigate, analyze and eliminate the underlying causes of workplace problems, operational failures, quality defects, safety incidents and compliance nonconformities.

The course focuses on the fundamentals of problem-solving, root cause identification, systematic investigation techniques, data collection and analysis, cause-and-effect relationships, corrective and preventive actions, and continual improvement.

Participants will learn how to distinguish between symptoms, immediate causes and root causes; apply structured problem-solving methodologies; use appropriate analytical tools; investigate incidents and nonconformities; and develop effective corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.

The programme emphasizes practical demonstrations, workplace-based case studies, group exercises, problem-solving activities and real-life industrial scenarios to strengthen participants' analytical capabilities and promote a proactive culture of problem-solving and continual improvement.
