The course focuses on developing competent construction health and safety professionals who can identify construction-related hazards, evaluate workplace risks, implement safety control measures, conduct construction site inspections, monitor contractor safety performance, and support the implementation of effective construction health and safety management systems.

Participants will learn how to conduct construction site risk assessments, develop site-specific safety plans, implement safe systems of work, manage work-at-height activities, monitor scaffolding and excavation safety, control lifting operations, manage electrical and machinery hazards, conduct toolbox talks, investigate construction incidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

The course also covers construction safety engineering, temporary works safety, scaffolding, ladder safety, excavation and trenching, confined space entry, lifting and rigging operations, concrete and structural work safety, demolition safety, electrical safety, fire prevention, chemical safety, personal protective equipment, emergency preparedness, and contractor safety management.

With particular emphasis on Bangladesh's construction, infrastructure, real estate, industrial, commercial, and development projects, participants will gain practical knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety requirements, Bangladesh Labour Act, 2006 (as amended), Bangladesh Labour Rules, 2015 (as amended), Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), and relevant construction safety requirements.

The course will also introduce relevant international standards and frameworks, including ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, ISO 19011 Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems, ILO construction safety principles, and relevant OSHA and NFPA requirements.

Through practical exercises, construction site hazard identification, risk assessment, safety inspection, scaffolding assessment, lifting operation case studies, work-at-height safety exercises, construction safety audit simulations, incident investigation, emergency response planning, assignments, and site safety management projects, participants will develop the skills required to prevent construction accidents, protect workers, improve site safety performance, and strengthen construction health and safety management systems.
